I-40 east bound take exit 387, turn right (south) onto US-11 (US-441),
turn right (west) onto Clinch Avenue, downtown Knoxville, located just
behind the new Knoxville Convention Center and the Sunsphere. From I-75
south bound, continue east on I-275 to I-40 exit, turn right (south) onto
US-11 (US-441), turn right (west) onto Clinch Avenue.

Grasspave2 is located on the south end of the World’s Fair Park
performance lawn and along the sidewalk running adjacent to the
performance lawn.

| Summary: Originally
planned as a concrete slab for concert buses and semi trucks, the
Knoxville Public Building Authority decided to use a porous paving surface
for the performance lawn at the newly redesigned World’s Fair Park in
Knoxville, Tennessee. The Grasspave2 would be installed at the south end
of the performance lawn and along the sidewalk running adjacent to the
performance lawn. An irrigation system was installed prior to the
Grasspave2 installation. Crushed pea gravel and sand were used as the base
course at a depth of 12”. Sod was then installed over the Grasspave2 and
seeding was done over the remainder of the performance lawn. |
